Our Shared Mission

At The STEAM Collective, we believe that creative exploration, scientific experiment, and visual experiences anchor everyone to their physical world, and inspires continuous growth. In a world increasingly isolated by screens, social media, and digital interactions, our mission is to cultivate a deeper understanding of real-world materials, spark curiosity, and facilitate connection within our community.  We aim to excite innovation and ignite impact through our classes and by fostering a culture of kindness and meaningful connection amongst our students, staff, and community.

The STEAM Collective embraces an interdisciplinary approach in both teaching methodology and class offerings. We dive into subjects on their own and also as interconnected parts of a larger whole. By blending science with art, engineering with technology, and other disciplines we create space for a richer, more cohesive understanding of how concepts relate to one another in the real world. Through this holistic and interconnected approach,  we aim to nurture inspired thinkers and tinkerers to think critically, solve problems creatively, create outside their comfort zones all while making positive impacts in their communities.

Giving Forward 2025: Our Commitment to Community

At The STEAM Collective, we believe in the power of generosity—whether it’s through our time, donations or financial support. Community building and giving back are core tenets of who we are, and each year, we proudly contribute to organizations that uplift children and families, fostering a spirit of kindness and positive change. We are honored to have supported these organizations in 2025, and encourage others to join us in making a difference. Together, we can inspire more good deeds and create lasting impact.

Our Story

In the heart of Larchmont, NY, The STEAM Collective was born out of a shared vision between two passionate co-founders determined to reimagine education and human connection. Kevin and Nicole worked in neighboring classrooms at Badger Summer Camp in Larchmont, where Kevin engaged campers in messy projects exploring the basic tenets of STEM, and Nicole seamlessly weaved stories and projects together using found objects, creative spark and seemingly endless imagination.

They often spent their down time envisioning a place where STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) could come alive, inspire exploration in the physical world and build meaningful interpersonal and interdisciplinary connections in new and exciting ways. From this shared purpose, they founded The STEAM Collective - a community-centered initiative dedicated to fostering curiosity, creativity and connection through hands-on, engaging experiences for all ages. They envision blending science, art and storytelling into every lesson, and creating a hub where local families can come together and see learning as an adventure.

This project is more than just a business - it is a calling to spark creativity, innovation, kindness and connection.
